Our parent company, SIATT Insurance Corporation, was founded in 1969. Tustin has been home to the firm since the first day it opened. Over the years, the corporation has been headed by three presidents the founder, Howard Schonwit, from 1969 to 1985; Garnett Collins from 1986 to 2001; and the present owner, Jerry Conrey, since 2002.
Throughout the brokerage's history, astute management has enabled it to leverage the very best terms, conditions and pricing structures for its clients. Today, the firm enjoys partnerships with the largest insurers in their respective marketplaces. Early on, we recognized the value of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with both of our masters, the policy holders and the underwriters.
In the late 90s, the firm began making a concerted effort to enlarge the scope of its engagement with each and every client, knowing that when the risk-management disciplines of several different departments are brought to bear on an account, it can do a better job of identifying and addressing any remaining or emerging exposures. The "total risk management" philosophy has always guided our sales and relationship-management efforts, regardless of prevailing market conditions. It is the executions of this philosophy that has benefited our customers in the forms of better coverage and reduced insurance costs.
To complement the efforts of management, the firm employs caring people who have the client's best interest at the forefront of every effort and transaction. Over the years the employees of Conrey Insurance Brokers and Risk Managers have been know as the firm's "heart and soul."
